Heidi (Bunek) Hamilton ’85 was inducted into the 2010 Wisconsin Basketball Hall of Fame.
Joelle Karth ’86 recently revived a local chapter of the Tri-M Music Honor Society at Pius XI, inducting 30 initial members. Tri-M is designed to recognize students for their academic and musical achievements.
Congratulations to Joe Muench ’87, co-owner and chef of Maxie’s Southern Comfort. Maxie’s was named as one of Milwaukee’s Top 30 restaurants by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Dining Critic Carol Deptolla. Muench and his co-owner recently opened their second restaurant Blue’s Egg, serving breakfast and lunch, at 317 N. 76th Street, Milwaukee, Wis.
Kevin Kehoss ’91, Pius XI Baseball Coach and faculty member has been elected to the 2010-11 WIAA Baseball Coaches Advisory Committee. Kehoss and his wife recently welcomed their first daughter Kourtney, a future Pope!
Andrea (Geiger) Sorce ’92 was married in September of 2009 to fellow Pius XI alum Vito Sorce ’88. They have recently welcomed a future Pope, Vito Jr. who was born in June, to their new family.
Shelly (Banach) Gebert ’96 was recently awarded her first United States patent titled “microorganisms and methods for treating poultry” while working at Agtech Products, Inc. in Waukesha, Wis. Gebert has a B.S. in Microbiology from UW-Milwaukee. She and her husband welcomed their first son, Jacob in January of 2009.
Emily Rozwadowski, Esq. ’97 has opened her own law firm with a partner in Chicago – Spencer & Rozwadowski, LLP. The firm specialized in estate planning and business law in Illinois.
Justin Zollitsch ’99 was hired by Milwaukee’s WITI Fox 6 as staff meteorologist. Zollitsch received his meteorology degree from UW-Madison and has been working in Green Bay. He starts reporting the weather at the Milwaukee station this month.
Olivia Carbajal ’01 currently resides in Dallas, Texas and is getting ready for her Nov. 20th wedding.
Charles Polzin D.D.S ’03 graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry and is now working as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery resident at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wis.
Clare Schuetz ’03 recently graduated from the University of St. Thomas/St. Catherine University in Minnesota with a Master of Social Work. Schuetz currently resides in St. Paul, Minn. working in mental health case management for Spanish speaking children and families.
